Round 6 info post 517 RC Motorplex lonestar series !

Racers we are getting ready for Round #6 of the 2026 Lone Star Dirt Oval Series at 517 RC Motorplex on Saturday, September 26th, with racing at 2pm. The track will open for practice on Friday, September 25th, providing an evening session from 6-10pm.
For those new to the area seeking accommodation, dining options, or general information, please refer below for details about the local area, our track, and available facilities.

Pit trailer parking is available; participants, please bring a generator for pit trailers. Ample space is provided for RVs and camping trailers to stay overnight; however, no hook-ups are available, so all guests must be self-sufficient and provide generators as needed for both pit trailers and RVs. I will mark spaces pit trailers and individuals using tables and canopies for pitting may do so on the concrete pads and grassy areas surrounding the track.

For pit trailer reservations, contact us via Messenger at 517 Motorplex so that I can get a head count on spacing.

Handicap parking spaces will be available; attendees are asked not to block these areas or park on the concrete slab or in reserved trailer locations. Signage will be displayed, and I will be present from Thursday through Saturday to ensure orderly parking.
Friday night practice takes place from 6–10pm at a fee of $20 per driver. Practice sessions will be controlled and grouped according to vehicle type (Traxxas and carbon cars). Gates will open at 11:00 am on Thursday, 10:00 am on Friday, and main gates open at 8:00 am on Saturday. Please ensure you bring necessary equipment such as tables, canopies, chairs, pit lights, and extension cords. Small generators are permitted.

The 517 Motorplex onsite hobby shop offers a selection of top brands and essential racing supplies, including Custom Works, EZ Clean Tire Washers, JConcepts, KMT Designs, Kimbrough, Mc Allister Racing, MRP Tire Sauce, Promotion RC, RacerX, Raw Speed, Rocket Racing Products, LiPo Bags, Sweep Racing, Team Power Products, Team Exalt, Triple P RC, Truespeed Racing Products, Whitz Racing Products, Zee Products, and more. Items such as tire glue, gluing jigs, shock oils, bearings, batteries, motors, soldering jigs, connectors, pinions, spur gears, and more.

A wide variety of tires are in stock in multiple compounds. The track surface typically offers medium bite during the day and increases as the sun sets, and moisture levels rise. All standard tire selections function well, and worn tires are often effective. RacerX tire gluing jigs are available in the shop!!

The Kickstand Cafe will operate on Friday evening and throughout Saturday, offering a menu that includes BBQ sandwiches, brisket, chopped beef, sausage, fajita steak, fries, fried okra, baked potatoes, ham, turkey sandwiches, wraps, chips, water, soft drinks, smoothies, ice cream, and the popular 517 Cookies. Breakfast will also be served Saturday morning for early arrivals.

The timing system remains unchanged from 2025; all 2 & RC4 3-wire transponders are compatible with the 517 Motorplex system. Please note, black MRT transponders are not supported.
All major credit cards are accepted for entries and purchases.
