UAS Student Government

We got to talk about how the lack of deferred maintenance on their university campuses has affected them negatively and their peers. It is so important to them to have a strong university system. I appreciate them advocating for their fellow students!

Why I Joined Student Government:I have been involved with student advocacy for many years now and have always believed that student voice is one of the most powerful things when it comes to making change. I believe that together we can make a real difference and strengthen our campus through supporting students' academic needs, well being, and rights. I am inspired by those around me and hope to be able to give back to the Juneau community that has supported me by listening to students and making a positive impact both on and off campus.

WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU! Sguas-jc will be conducting a Vaccine Mandate Student Survey to gauge how UAS students feel in regards to specific COVID-19 mandates. We want to know how you feel about these mandates, so that in the future if anything changes we know how the student population feels about it. We believe it is our job to amplify the student voice on campus. We will also be providing 2 students with a $25 Amazon gift card! All you need to do is fill out the survey and your name will be entered into the drawing, the winner will be announced Dec 15th, so keep an eye out for the announcement! Attention students! We are hosting a Meet & Greet this Friday in the new student lounge at 6 pm! Come check out the new space, grab a donut, and have a conversation with one of your Student Government representatives! We are so excited to introduce ourselves to you and get to know some of you better! We would love to let students know that you can come to us with any concern or idea you might have, and we are here to listen!We hope to see you there!

Good, nutritious food is an important part of staying healthy and focused on your studies. We had a free sandwich bar this afternoon, with the leftovers going to the Learning Center to support studying students.

Guided meditation will begin soon and continue until 2 in Egan 114 as part of de-stress week. Come and experience total relaxation.

As a part of De-Stress Fest, Student Government and the UAS Yoga Club are hosting a free yoga session for the campus community, including all abilities and skill levels. Yoga is a great way to relieve stress and get ready for a busy final weeks with a healthy and relaxing lesson. All supplies will be provided, so show up ready to exercise at 5:30pm in the Glacier View room.
