🌴Daytona race recap🌴

We had a good weekend in general. We learned a lot for our first parking lot race.

The heat race resulted in Luke started 8th (last) in the E main. He did so good here and finished 4th to transfer to the D main.
The D main main we ran into some car issues due to not making the right adjustments and Luke did not transfer

We loved being able to support and cheer on our friends. Congrats to Abel McKnight Racing for getting into the A-Main's. Thats such a tough task and you did it!
Congrats to GBS Racing for 3 wins!!! Gage is doing so great!
Congrats to Gonzalez Racing Club on getting to podium! Great job Griggs!

We did have a little excitement on the side when it came to an Uber ride back to the track. The driver ran out of gas pulling into the gas Station. Jeremy had to push the car to the pump.

Luke is *BEYOND* excited for the opportunity to race at one of the most iconic tracks in motorsports! To be able to take his quarter midget to Daytona is something he’s looking forward to, and we can’t wait to see him hit the track! 🏁

This is going to be one EPIC race weekend, and we’re ready to make some memories! 🇺🇸🏁

Daytona… HERE WE COME! 🔥

🏁 Dixie Shootout Series Recap – Huntsville, AL 🏁

We came into the Dixie Shootout feeling excited for the weekend, but unfortunately, racing had some other plans for us. While the results weren’t what we hoped for, we learned a lot and are thankful for the people who surrounded us all weekend.

Sr Honda Heat Race: P1 ➡️ P6
Luke started on the pole and led most of the race! With about 6 laps to go, the second-place car made the pass for the lead. Then, with just 4 laps remaining, Luke got a little too high and his tire clipped the wall, sending him into a flip on the back straightaway.

Thankfully, Luke was completely fine and immediately wanted to get back in the car and finish the race! After getting everything checked out, we were put to the rear of the field. Unfortunately, there just wasn’t enough time and the car had some unseen damage left to make our way back through before the checkered flag flew.
This race gave Luke something very important—confidence. He got to see that he has a fast car and that he can run up front and race with some of the fastest cars around. That is something we will definitely take away from this weekend! 🏁💚

Sr Honda C Main, started P5 and finished P7. Dad worked on the car to get it back out to race but it was not at 100%. Luke got pushed back to 9th at the start but fought his way forward and made a couple of great passes. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to make enough ground to transfer into the B Main.

The car still has issues and didn't make the A main.

Not every race weekend ends with trophies and checkered flags, but there is always something to learn. We'll take what we learned, figure out where we need to improve, and come back stronger.

Despite the racing struggles, we had an amazing weekend with our racing family. There is something special about being surrounded by people who love the same thing you do—especially getting to hang out and enjoy time together once the racing is over. ❤️

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who helped Luke after his flip, came over to check on him, or simply asked how he was doing. The kindness, compassion, and support meant more to us than you know. We are so thankful to be part of such an amazing racing community.
