Wolfscratch Farm
We are working to create urban foodscapes that are woven into the very fabric of city infrastructure. But what does that mean? Less mowing, more growing.
Imagine a city that has less grass and more food.

Hello friends! As many of you know, I have been growing my new business, Roots Down, for the last year and I am excited to announce a campaign I have just launched called "Grow, Don't Mow". Roots Down is raising money to train and educate community members, youth, landscapers and governments about protecting our environment through ecological landscaping. Funds raised through this campaign will allow us to create a robust educational platform that will bring food, programs, and environmental stewardship to communities across metro Atlanta.
If you enjoyed the programming and education that we offered at Wolfscratch Farm, you will LOVE what Roots Down has to offer the metro Atlanta community. Please share and contribute to this movement. Thank you so much for your support.

To my Friends of old! Lately I have been thinking a lot about my farming years @ Wolfscratch and how it made the man that I am today. I have such a passion and respect for the earth and a deep connection to it through growing food ecology and community.
In case any of you are wondering to what happened to all that amazing energy that I put into Wolfscratch...
I am Directing the Urban Ag program for the great city of Clarkston GA!
Over the last 5 months I have had my hand in helping re shape policies that help the city become more food secure.
Just a few things:
I have had the honor in helping a council member draft on of the most comprehensive ordinances that any city has in place at the moment.
I have help build productive urban landscapes right on the side walks and public spaces that will be amazing food grown right where people gather.
I have been able to build a robust training program for the public works team that will launch in 2020, this program will teach them how to plant and tend edible and useful landscapes.
Please tell me what you are up to reach out!
Really excited to share this journey with everyone!

When we found out about weekly Share the Harvest Market, we knew we had to check it out. Every week the Fresh Harvest team goes to an apartment complex in Clarkston to sell subsidized fresh, local, and organic produce. It’s a farmers market brought to the people!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We’re so excited to witness the amazing things they are doing and can’t wait to collaborate with them again in the future. It’s programs like these that not only make people healthier, but also transform communities ✨🌱

••HEALTHY CHICKENS••
Chickens and compost go hand in hand. Compost provides food, warmth in the winter, and busy work for your chickens.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you have backyard compost then you should consider adding backyard chickens as well! Roots Down can work with residents to teach them about healthy chicken systems ✅🐓
