It's with a heavy heart that I share the passing of our dear friend, E.J. MacDonell Taylor. For many, many years, EJ and her loving husband, Rob were staunch supporters of our - and if truth be told, there were many times I simply could not have continued that work were it not for their support. They were steadfast. They wanted every shelter pup to have a comfortable place to rest while they waited patiently for the chance of a forever home. I will be forever grateful to EJ and Rob for their love and support of Animal Rescue Aid.
But EJ and Rob were not only cherished supporters of Animal Rescue Aid - they were dear, dear friends to myself and my husband, Ed. Never too busy for a quick text or email to keep in touch, as we shared in the highs and lows of our lives. Ed and I are crushed to know EJ is no longer with us - but we take comfort knowing she is in heaven surrounded by the thousands of four-legged angels she loved and provided for so well here on earth. She will be missed beyond measure. We love you EJ, as we love Rob. You'll be in our hearts, always. 💗 Tracey French

Animal Rescue Aid was grateful to secure 3,000 lbs of pet food through Operation Humane (Atlanta Humane Society) which we shared between the Pickens County Animal Shelter, Pickens Animal Rescue Ranch and the Big Canoe Animal Rescue/Trinity Church Food Pantry! Thank you to Gordy & Adele F Hamilton for the loan of their truck! God is so very, very good!

Welcome to the Next Chapter of Animal Rescue Aid

For 18 years, Animal Rescue Aid has worked to improve the lives of animals in need.

Many of you first came to know us through our Blue Bed Donation Program™, which provided more than 50,000 raised beds to shelters and rescue groups across the country. We are so proud of that work and grateful to everyone who helped make it possible.

Today, our mission has grown.

Through veterinary assistance, pet food support, shelter supplies, and community outreach, we are focused on helping pets stay healthy, helping families stay together, and supporting underserved communities throughout North Georgia.

We are also continuing this work through our Forgotten Shelters Program™, helping shine a light on the shelters, rescues, animals, and families that are too often overlooked.

Every bag of pet food, every vaccination, every flea and tick treatment, every shelter supply — it all makes a difference.
