We are incredibly proud to announce that our very own Chief of the Pocahontas Volunteer Fire Department, Jeramiah Howard, has officially taken the oath to serve as the Coroner of Hinds County. His dedication to serving and protecting our community is unmatched, and we know he will continue to do so with honor in his new role. Congratulations, Jeramiah!
Congratulations π Coroner Howard
Today, Hinds County welcomed Chief Jeremiah Howard of the Pocahontas Volunteer Fire Department as he took the oath to serve as Hinds County Coroner. He spent many years diligently serving as deputy coroner to my esteemed friend, Sharon Grisham Stewart, who has now retired. His dedication and experience make him more than qualified for this critical position. Selected by the Hinds County Board of Supervisors, Coroner Howard brings a wealth of knowledge and commitment to the profession. We wish him the best, and I support him in this new role.
