October is coming up fast! If you don’t already know someone who is or has gone through the breast cancer journey, it is very likely at some point you will. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and now more than ever, I am not taking it lightly. Three very important women in my life have now gone through the journey. Each of those looks different, but I will take any opportunity to learn how to love them, and I am eager to learn more about early detection and prevention from Dr. Young. Please join us to not only enjoy each others company, but to learn more about breast cancer, how to support each other if someone is diagnosed, next steps if you are diagnosed and hear the journey of a beautiful friend of mine and local mom. We will also try to make time to write notes of encouragement to women walking the cancer journey that we will put in the Fighter Bags for the Belhaven Block Party that will be on October 11 (see post for more info). Big thanks to for sharing in the love and blessing us with her deliciousness! I’ll hook us up with some rosé in the spirit of pink! Please feel friend to bring your mama, sister, friend, aunt, coworkers or anyone else you want to be informed! 💕
