This is for all East Jackson Schools staff members:

I was at the elementary awards ceremony yesterday and I can't stop thinking about it.

I saw you. All of you. And I'm incredibly grateful for each and every one of you.

I cannot begin to imagine how exhausted you were yesterday, after a long field day and a loooooong year. The kids were bonkers, to say the least. But, every adult I saw was still giving it their all. The compassion, the patience, the discipline, the love and the attention that those children received was overwhelming to me. As I watched the interactions, I was moved to tears a few times. Those children are so lucky to have you.

As a small sign of appreciation, we will have a table set up at our Little Farmstand Friday with "thank you" treats. Please stop by on your way to or from school (it will be out 7am-6:30pm) and grab one.

Behind every safe ride is a team of professionals who care deeply about our students and the community they serve.
Thank you for your patience, kindness, and attention to safety. You set the tone for the day and send students home with a smile!
⭐ Bus Safety Tip:
Students should always arrive at the bus stop 5 minutes early and wait safely away from the road.
Please be especially cautious and patient during these icy and snowy times.

Stay off the roads if you can, but if you must go out…give yourself a lot of extra time! It’s not good out there!
