Driving 3 hours and 20 minutes down to Jackson, Georgia, to get my butt kicked in Butt County by cool dudes on carbon fiber racing handcycles while I raced (and got lapped) on my recreational handcycle was just what the doctor ordered for Saturday. I didn't check in with anyone within the sport to see if they were going to show up, but I wasn't too surprised when the handcycle king of Upstate South Carolina, , pulled up. I'm pretty sure my response was "I should have known you'd be here." I decided to stay until Sunday to watch the guys do the road race. Going into it Joe was the only person I knew, but by the end of Saturday's lapping of me during the Criterium Race, I'd say we were all friends, and if that didn't do it, the free chips and salsa at the Mexican restaurant after they kicked my butt did! Because how can you not become friends when you're sharing unlimited chips and salsa?

No one has bothered me today for some reason. Happy Saint Patrick's Day!
