The Book Rack in Jackson

"How long has this store been here?" Joe asked as he was checking out.
He was surprised that The Book Rack had been in Canton Mart Square for 60 years.

We've been in our current location six years, but with the reorganization, it feels like a new store.

He and Belinda drove from Louisiana to check us out and found some great books to take home.

How shall I compare thee to our former poetry section?
(Okay, fine. Our poetry skills are lacking, but you WILL be able to better find the books next to classics...)

We love uncovering treasures in the store.
This popped up in a box we opened earlier today.
A like new hardcover edition of Star Wars - The Original Trilogy.

"It's Stephanie's birthday!" Kirsten told us as she bought her friend some books.
Don't worry, Kirsten got a few books for herself.

That's the beauty of taking your friend to the bookstore to shop for their birthday.
You win, too.

During the reorganization, the Inspiration and Children's sections were holding areas for books, tables, and other items.

But we kept them the same for now.
(And all the boxes and tables have been put back where they go.)

Christy and Sasha have owned The Book Rack for almost eight years, but Christy was a customer long before that.
She used to come in with her mom who loved books by Georgette Heyer and Grace Livingston Hill.
Those books inspired Christy's love of historical romance.
And that's why you can always find those authors on our shelves.

What time are we meeting up at the bookstore today?

If you haven't checked out the newly reorganized store, we open at 10am and are open til 5.
