September 14th 2024 "R" word or Shine!!

Gates 8 AM. Kit Hand out at 9AM. Track Open 11AM. 12PM 8 hours begins. 8PM End of Race. Awards to follow.
Teams 4-8 people 4 people must be on the stand for an hour of the event. If the car is off track it counts towards driver's time (WARNING: you may be ridiculed by teammates.)
Tire: USGT non belted Edge Rim Track spec tire.

Kit: TT02 Body TBD
Hop ups - Only Upgraded Bearings allowed will be supplied with kit. Kit is meant to be “Box Stock” only can use pinion, motor, esc and hardware in kit. All stock wire connectors must stay on motors and ESCs. You may change Deans Connector to XT or EC type. Bullet style batteries will need jumper harness. Replacement motors and must be purchased from tech to run in the event.
1 Set of Legal USGT Tires from the event will be given with entry.
Motor cooling in ways of a fan or heat sink is allowed.
Allowed to use any servo saver or horn.

Teams supply: 6000Mah max batteries 7.4-7.6 Max Charged to 8.40v. Must be teched to use. Batteries must be marked to the team either by car number or team name.
Legal USGT pre-mounts must be the same as supplied (scrubbed) Allowed to use your own tires but the must be the same wheel/tire as give with the kit. Extra sets may be purchased at the event as well. (no tire amount cap)
In the case the track is declared wet BYO Tire for wet conditions. It will be the spec tire unless track is deemed wet by race director.
Servo, Radio, Mylaps compatible transponder.

You can make repairs to car during race but must be checked with tech after doing so.

Each Team Marshals their own car.

There will be benefits for the speed of completing the kit and concours.

Tech procedure:
Initial tech. Review of chassis built before racing.
Tech will consist of a box recently teched items that may be used on track. Tires and recently charged 8.40v batteries.
Spare motors, ESCs and parts will be available for purchase if needed. Must be marked by Tech prior to going into car.
Entry $360.00 per team. Entries due by August 18th Please Have a team name when entering.
You can enter on race days or FnF www.paypal.me/spork01 please include team name with each entry. We have multiple big events this year. We are using this PayPal for the event to make things less confusing. First 10 PAID Teams are in.

Winners from the first round of rhe Saturday Showdown Series. We have on road club racing this Saturday gates at 12PM Racing at 3PM for on road.

Thursday is the Dirt Oval opener with Parkflyers gates open 4:30Pm Racing at 7PM.

Due to turnout this year FWD has been upgraded to a points paying class!!!

We'd like to thank all the sponsors, all the racers, all the help and all the love on Saturday. It was a fantastic day of racing and the turnout was just incredible. Gregory is definitely smiling down upon us all after Saturday. Just so many people to list who came through on this event it was just amazing!!!

RACE DAY!!

Saturday will be a club race and Sunday is everyone's favorite Summer Series' back for the second round. If you haven't come by and been a part of it. It's not too late we are dropping 1 race out of how ever many we get to run. We do one a month so get the dust off and come race with us. There's no better time than this weekend it's going to be amazing out!! $30 to run up to 3 cars on Sunday you're not going to get that anywhere else.

There has been plenty of talk of what tires are to be used lately for which classes and we have been lenient on it. The time has come where we have to tighten up on the rules a bit. Below we'll be going over them. We may miss something here but we abide by ROAR and TCS rules for many of our classes. Those are the rule books we used to sort out and discrepancies. For USGT and VTA ROAR uses www.usvintagetramsam.com as a guide which we refer to as well.

FWD USGT and TCS Pro Spec GT2 GT1 GTE:
Racing has been good for the classes on the USGT style rim so we would like to recognize as https://www.teamgravityrc.com/online-store/USGT-non-belted-pre-glued-tires-edge-wheel-white-4-p56979872 is the ONLY RIM STYLE we use as a spec at our track in terms of the USGT, FWD and our TCS classes. They are offered in White or Black. The Grey is NOT accepted as the tire is different. We want good racing and everyone on an even playing field. The other rims offer differences in weight and flex. We have found many people trying to run the other rim styles. During the tech process for heats and qualifiers you must be correct. You will not be permitted to run the other options other than practice for the classes that require it.

Weight for USGT is 1350gr and FWD 1250gr.
TCS Pro Spec 1400gr. GT1&2 1375gr. GTE 1500gr.

Touring Car:
For Mod and 17.5. We understand you guys are working on your worlds prep. So you can run the Sweep Specs that we will also be running for the Awesomatix Summer Champs. We aren't limiting you guys, we want to see an American world champ in Touring Car for a change. Any support we can give you guys we are going to help. We also have the Mighty Gripper Yellow available which is the spec sauce.

Weight 1320gr.

Formula 1:
F1 is an open tire. The Exotek Yellow front have been a favorite of many here paired with the rear of choice depending on conditions. Sweep offers a set that have worked with us as well. If anyone else has tried anything else let us know in the On Road group.

No Minimum weight in F1 for our program to align with TCS style rules.

TCS Mini:
We allow use of the TCS listed tires or any of the compounds of Xpress M Chassis pre-mounts. Many are not fans of the added cost and having to actually mount and glue the M Chassis tires so this is an option for those people. There is an updated rim for the Xpress sets for those that may be wondering.
Weight 1300gr.

VTA and Tub VTA.
All tires must show tread. You can run the Protoform or the Gravity Tire. but it must show tread across the whole tire. .1mm is the spec given in the rules. A finger nail must be able to grab the lowest tread in tech.
The Tub VTA is a class used only for the Sundays of Summer series, the stipulation is that you must run a tub chassis. There are many available still and its not just Tamiya. Some guys have been creative and found vintage cars but there are new cars available..

Novice classes can run any tires. These guys/girls just need to do laps so run what you have.
