Spiced Orange Latte 🌶️🍯🍊

Crafted by melting hot honey with espresso and using our house-made orange syrup, this latte is reminiscent of fall cakes at the family table but with a little kick!

It’s still 90° outside, but we’re trying to usher in cooler temps with flannel, Gilmore Girls reruns and part 1 of our fall menu this week! Returning is the Great Pumpkin and the Campfire Latte. We also introduced the Spiced Orange Latte— espresso, hot honey, house-made orange syrup. The leaves will turn soon. Until then we can pretend with cozy drinks!

Every morning thirty minutes before unlocking the door we brew drip coffee— weigh the beans, grind, place the filter, and start the brewer. The aroma of fresh coffee and baking pastries fill the shop. And while the cafe is quite pleasant when quiet and the new sun shining through the windows, it’s after 7a most days that the magic or art happens. Neighbors funnel in on their way to work, meet with a friend, debrief after a meeting, or celebrate their kid starting school. As baristas and bakers, we have the honor to witness the daily lives of our neighbors and participate in the routine, mundane, or sometimes wild days simply with a cup of coffee, pastry, and seat at a table. It is so beautiful to see this living artwork be so dynamic as neighbors from across town and even the world walk in and out of our “frame”. Yes, we love good latte art in a mug or a colorful danish. But our favorite is the diversity of the people who walk into the shop and we get to host.

Agatha competed in ’s latte art throwdown and finished 3rd Saturday! It’s always good to hangout with other baristas in the delta region to celebrate community and art in coffee. We’re proud of Agatha and grateful to be friends of the Memphis coffee community.

With friends and neighbors, we’re celebrating the daily ritual of gathering together to share coffee. The music is turned up and we brought back the It’s Ya Birthday Latte— caramel, vanilla whip cream, and rainbow sprinkles! Let’s keep brewing for five more!

With the winter weather, life hasn’t been routine the last two weeks. We miss sipping coffee, listening to a record, and reading books with y’all!

Alongside some downtown business neighbors, we’re doing something simple to jump back into normal life.
