Some things to keep in mind if you're wanting to effectively build your business credit. Register your business with your Secretary of State and request and EIN from the IRS. Contact D&B to acquire a D-U-N-S number. Open accounts with Vendors that will report to as many business scoring models as possible. Open a business credit card. Pay your vendors and creditors early or at least ensure you're paying on time. Last, make sure that you're monitoring your business credit profile and make sure it's free of errors.
