it's good to fuss with glass. my cat is on a tear these days, she doesn't want me at the glass table. she comes over and hollers her head off, and eventually just lays down over it all. but slowly it gets done.

I've been soothing my overburdened soul with glass work lately.
lots of little projects. wind chimes, celestial danglers, smallish sunbursts, turning some unfinished wave lamps into smaller finished panels.
I think I want to do another crafty fair. but it has to be the right one. and I have to find it.
I draw and score on the weekends, and grind through the week.
I don't have a circle cutter, I don't think, but she makes it look very very simple to cut a huge circle with one. I'm going to need to find one and try this out.

did a copper foil overlay for these zinnia petals, but did them too thin and they peeled up. I was unhappy with the look, frankly, and decided to do a wire overlay. it took forever, but that's okay. I had forever to do it. lovely snowy day, Sunday, an audiobook and a small heater at my feet.
heaven, really.

soldering this beauty today. winter is here and I am excited at the opportunities for playing with glass
it's been a minute. began a commission last night. felt good to be glassing.
I'll be honest, getting the creative juices flowing has been really difficult these past few months. it's hard to be creative when you are smothered in dread and fear and anger. but I am resisting it, some days more successfully than others.
this commission is full of flowers, and there isn't much more cheerful and joyous than flowers. Moo has been very involved I the process. she had some definite feelings about one flower in particular and decided to remove it with her teeth, lol.
