We had a blast with the crew from Ironbark Brewing Co. and our friends at Prison City Brewers Club. Beers, bees, and mead made for an excellent night!

The brew team from Ironbark visited the Prison City Brewers meeting last night at Steller Apiaries and had a great time tasting some locally made homebrews and chatting beekeeping/mead making! Don’t let anyone tell you and don’t know how to make straight . We use no , no feed, no and 85% of our bees survived this winter and every other winter for the last 17 out of 20 months years. If you’ve tried other beekeeping and find the practices unpractical or unsustainable, perhaps an alternative approach is the answer.

We’ve got swarms to capture for free if you’re interested and we’ve got captured swarms ready to be installed into hives, $200, Michigan over-wintered genetics!

We are preparing to sell our excess swarms. If you’d like to be put on a list, get in touch with us with your best contact info! Swarms will come captured, but the queen won’t always be captured separately. Swarms are $200

We have established top bar nucleus colonies for sale. These are swarms captured and installed into our “micro” top bar hives for transferring into one of our full sized hives. Message us for availability! Additionally we are selling extra swarms from here on out! Message us to get on our list!

Does anyone have old packages lying around? The physical box packaged bees came/come in? Wood or plastic, we are not picky! We have so many swarms I’d love to collect them and get them to other keepers! Drop them off or let me know

If you’re feeling at all unwell with the recent events I’d encourage and remind you that community starts with your neighbors, in your streets, at your places of worship, your schools, but also behind closed doors. Do not be afraid to be the constant good light in the world, and when it all feels heavy, look for the little signs, the helpers, and the ways you can help and uplift your neighbors.
