JSU’s Academic Success 2026 Majors Fair connects students with academic opportunities By Jatavian Walker (JACKSON, Miss.) – Jackson State University’s Academic Success hosted its annual Majors Fair Aug.

It’s Know Your Numbers Week!

While the week is traditionally focused on blood pressure, Academic Success has a different question:

Do you know the numbers that shape your path to graduation?

Take ownership of your academic progress by knowing your:

🎓 GPA
📈 Credit hours earned
🧭 Credit hours remaining
📝 Courses still needed for your degree
🚨 Holds that may impact registration
👤 Academic advisor

Your advisor can help you make a plan, but you should ALWAYS know where you stand.

Check your numbers. Ask questions. Make a plan. Stay on track.

🍂 Hello, September! 🍂

A new month means new opportunities to stay on track.

Be sure to review September's important academic dates and plan accordingly.

Stay informed, stay prepared, and keep moving forward, Tigers! 🐅

Did you know we have an amazing team of student leaders powering the UAAC front desk?

Student Leaders are often the first faces you see when you visit the University Academic Advisement Center. From welcoming students to answering questions, they play an important role in advising.

Their superpower? Serving with a smile 💙🐅

Help us celebrate the student leaders behind Academic Success at JSU!

Jackson State University Majors Fair is happening August 17–18, and JSUOnline will be there! 💙🐅

If you’re an online student, stop by your major’s table to connect with your department, learn more about opportunities available to you, and see what’s waiting for you beyond graduation.

Your JSUOnline journey doesn’t stop in the virtual classroom. Your future is Anywhere, Anytime.

As we close out our inaugural Academic Success Week, we would like to recognize and thank our advising team for the work they do each day to guide, support, and encourage our students.

Academic Success advisors are organized into two groups: UAAC and College Success. UAAC advisors serve first-year and sophomore students, while College Success Advisors serve juniors and seniors in close collaboration with faculty advisors.

We appreciate their commitment to Academic Success at JSU!
