Studio Twenty Four

This coming Wednesday is the first session of our gallery series! Bring yourself to the second floor Bala studio space for relaxed drawing. See you there!

When you go to NYC and see all of the reasons you enjoy life drawing over the years 💓🎨 Oh look! It's not perfection or what it "should" look like according to unrealistic expectations. Nope, it's different variations of the human form hanging up at the MoMA.

When you have a fan that wants a photo with their favorite painting. Warms the heart to oblige 🥰

📢 With all that's going on lately, I can finally announce my teaching position at Jackson Public Schools as the elementary Music and Art teacher! For 2 schools with 500-600 kids total. 😊

I am still at Art 634 and ready to produce my own stuff and keep it alive. Once I get my feet wet in taking over a beautiful program that already is in place, I'll be ready to take back on my normal artist workshops. For now, I'm pausing everything and coming back to it.

Thank you for all of your patience as I begin my new journey with the amazing kids! Let's teach them the arts!

Here is the big collaboration piece I did with the students before holiday break. Every grade and class came to paint and play with the background. I finalized the piece with the JPS Viking logo using acrylic and an artist knife. Gave it great texture and pop! It will be hung high at Sharp Park Academy in Jackson, MI. Go Vikings!

Sharp Park Academy had a blast last night! We set them up and gave the students the gallery they deserve! Cheers to the next 4 months of artist work to come!
