Exciting things are happening in Downtown Jackson! 🎉
Today, the JRA team joined community leaders, partners, and stakeholders for the official announcement that Shivers Creek Fish House is coming to Capitol Street!
This new addition is another sign of the continued momentum and investment taking place in the heart of our city. New restaurants, new businesses, and new opportunities help create a more vibrant, walkable, and welcoming downtown for residents and visitors alike.
We’re excited to see this project move forward and look forward to the energy it will bring to Downtown Jackson.

The Jackson Redevelopment Authority extends its heartfelt condolences on the passing of Representative Bo Brown.
A dedicated public servant and champion for Jackson, Representative Brown devoted his life to strengthening our community and improving the lives of others. His leadership, service, and commitment to the City of Jackson will leave a lasting impact for generations to come.
We extend our prayers to his family, friends, colleagues, and all who mourn his loss. May his legacy continue to inspire us all.

"Today, Wiggins serves as a project coordinator with the Jackson Redevelopment Authority and works as an intern with the City of Jackson’s zoning division. He is set to graduate in December with a master’s degree in urban design from JSU."
