Today cartoonist/endocrinologist Dr. Justin Matrisciano visited our offices to get a look at our first prototypes of an exciting new mobile game being developed by the Ignite Labs team. In a few weeks the game will be previewed for the Joslin Diabetes Center. A few years ago Ignite helped launch http://www.CartoonMD.com in partnership with Dr. Matriciano, and now we're ready to take his incredible characters to a whole new level!

On Wednesday, October 17, 2012- As part of the "Ignite InterACT" effort (formerly known as “Ignite Gives Back”), the Ignite Labs team and other Ignite employees volunteered at The 1st Annual aMAYZing Kids Charity Golf Tournament (http://www.amayzing.org/golf), presented by The Hailey Mayz Foundation. This organization holds a special place in the hearts & minds of Ignite employees, as not only was it founded by a past employee and his family (Vassilaros), its mission is simply aMAYZing: to helps families with special needs children and offers speech therapy, occupational/physical therapy, feeding therapy, and much more.

The tournament was held at the Tijeras Creek Golf Club in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA where they helped stuff envelopes, sign-in golfers at the registration table, judge the putting contest, and judge the hole-in-one contests throughout the course. The event was well attended and included a silent auction, raffle prizes, golf scratcher tickets for vacations, and even a helicopter ball drop. The team left the event tired and sunburnt, but once again with a sense of accomplishment knowing that they just made a difference in the lives of special needs children.
