Every line on the Ferrari Testarossa had a job to do.

The side strakes weren't styling theater.

They helped manage airflow to the rear-mounted flat-12 while meeting packaging, cooling, and safety requirements.

Until decades later, when everyone realizes how well it was solved.

For 49 years, Brabus refined Mercedes-Benz. The Bodo breaks both rules: bespoke carbon fiber body, Aston Martin Vanquish platform underneath.
The spec sheet:
• 5.2L twin-turbo V12, 1,000 PS, 1,200 Nm
• 0-62 in 3.0 s, top speed 223 mph
• 2+2 GT, KW adaptive suspension, front-axle lift
• 77 units, around 1M euros
The interesting part is what they kept and what they built. Only the roof carries over from the Aston Martin. Everything else, including the powertrain calibration jumping from 823 to 1,000 PS, is Brabus work: new turbos, revised heads, new fuel system, new exhaust.
This matters beyond Brabus. Small-volume manufacturers are now building complete vehicles on licensed platforms, taking on body-in-white, calibration, and homologation work that used to belong only to OEMs. The skill set required is closer to a full vehicle program than a tuning shop.
