UI STEP Org aims to educate students on ways to achieve academic and employment excellence, work on career development, and create a professional mindset.
The UI STEP student organization was created to continue the lessons learned in the UI STEP program on student employment and professionalism. In our organization, we will cover a variety of topics including resume building, interviewing skills, networking strategy, and job searching methods. We will fulfill our mission through personal mentoring, career instruction, and through supporting the importance of proactive and engaging behaviors.

I know this doesn't go along with our resume theme this month but this is a fantastic article on how you can stand out and get promoted quickly on your first job out of college. I like it because this is exactly what I did to get promoted fast when I started my own career. Great tips.
