Before we advised clients on media relations, many of us were the people receiving the pitches. We’ve worked in newsrooms as reporters, editors and digital storytellers, and that experience gives us a firsthand understanding of what makes news, how reporters think and how stories get covered. Lately, our office has felt a bit like a relay race. As one team member returns from a client strategy meeting, another heads out for a ribbon cutting, media interview or presentation. We all have different destinations, but we share the same goal of supporting our clients when and where they need us the most.
