In response to a growing need to broaden the career opportunities for JCA students, Butler established the Arts Administration program in the late 1970s.
Today, over 80 students study arts administration at Butler.
Senior Dance Arts Administration major shares a Day in the Life at her internship with The Joffrey Ballet School! Our students continue to do great work over the summers and during the year at arts organizations all across the country.

“This summer I’m going to be working with the Irish Modern Dance Theatre in Dublin for two months, and after that I’ll be moving to Ann Arbor! Arts admin has been my home for the last four years. Although I’m sad to leave, I feel beyond prepared to start my career and that’s all due to the incredible instruction from my courses. I try to recommend this program to as many prospective art students as possible because of what it’s done for me.” -Ella
