New immersive play brings history of The Athenaeum to life 'The Gathering' at The Athenaeum is an immersive show exploring spiritualism in 1919 Indianapolis. The play features pre-prohibition cocktails and a seance.

“The Gathering” is the theater troupe’s first show in six years. It takes you through a 1920s-inspired seance. You can expect to wander through hidden nooks of the historic building, get close to the actors and maybe get a glimpse of something supernatural.
