Graphic Designer and Photographer - Teah Rushing Design + Photography 14/03/2021

My first blog post in almost a year is finally finished! Like I've mentioned before, I really only write these for my own personal reasons but I like to share them for those that are interested in blogging, photography, or people who just like to look at pretty pictures.

My friends and I went out to Arizona earlier this month and it really reset my mental health. There's just something about nature, the west coast, and my camera in hand that makes me feel a different kind of happiness.

Quarantine 2020 — Teah Rushing Design + Photography Day 3453 of being stuck inside my one bedroom apartment. Okay, that’s a bit dramatic but it seriously feels like forever. From the Artist:

The Soldiers and Sailors Monument is one of the most recognizable symbols of, not only the city but the state too. I incorporated the monument into this design because of that reason. It represents: History - Designed and finished in 1902, it symbolizes Indianapolis and holds a lot of history in itself. Because it is so recognizable, it is the perfect element to use in this historic bicentennial celebration. The red and blue colors represent history as well since they are our national and state colors. Civic Pride - The circle and monument is where everyone gathers to celebrate anything and everything, i.e. sport wins, concert outings, parties, shopping, dining, etc. The circle and monument bring people together and will continue to bring everyone together for who knows how long. Innovation - Using my creative eye, I hope to innovate the bicentennial and make my big ideas come into action but having my logos represent this historic celebration. Legacy - The opportunity of including the people of Indianapolis participate in the bicentennial is a legacy in itself. Hopefully, the designs submitted by everyone will spark something in all of the people who are apart of it.
