Signing books at the ALA Annual Conference was a whirlwind! I love and appreciate all the librarians who were so excited about YA fiction.

I also picked up some books myself! I’m excited to read these ARCs and thank the authors and publishers for sharing them.

We got our new library cards for our new county after moving, and I wanted to go check and see if any of my books were on the shelf in the teen section. We found Wraithwood right away!

It’s such a special feeling to walk into a library or bookstore and find my books on the shelves. Younger me would be so delighted.

Sometimes I get stuck in the mindset of comparing myself to other authors and worrying about not being as well known or successful as others are. But things like this remind me that young Alyssa who dreamed of being an author didn’t know anything about big five publishers or bestseller lists. She just loved going to the library and checking out as many books as possible, and she dreamed of her books being the ones some young teen reached for someday.

And that’s exactly what happened. I’m so happy for her.

The re-release for Castelon (The Wraithwood Trilogy #3) is just one week away! I’m so happy with the new look for this YA contemporary fantasy series featuring Arthurian legend, mystery, and magic. Same story, new publisher with some small formatting and cover enhancements.

And of course, always feel free to ask your local library about books you want to read! Libraries are amazing.
