United Women in Faith celebrates Pride Month by reminding us of the continued need to uplift members of the LGBTQ+ community in this moment of harmful rhetoric and public policy. We believe that God's love is never limited by who you are and who you love. We endeavor to protect the rights, liberties, health, and lives of all our siblings—regardless of their identity. Every person has sacred worth and dignity.

Say hello to RMN's new Executive Director. 👋
Rev. Andi Woodworth (she/they) is a pastor, preacher, trans spiritual leader, and — apparently — a person of very good taste in ice cream and Pokémon.
All week we're introducing you to Andi. Follow along, and join us June 9 for a live conversation where you can meet her yourself.
This is a new season for RMN — and we'd love for you to be part of it. Make a gift at https://hubs.li/Q04jNN5D0.

Happy Pride Month from The UMC General Board of Church and Society! 🌈🌈🌈
This June, GBCS acknowledges the contributions and sacrifices of the LGBTQIA+ community in the pursuit of peace and justice nationally and globally. Pride Month was established in the United States to commemorate the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in New York City. The United Methodist Church’s Social Principles affirm that human sexuality is a gift grounded in love, care, and respect.
We encourage members and congregations of the church to take time to learn from and listen to members of the q***r community, to practice inclusivity, and to stand in solidarity against attacks on the LGBTQIA+ community—especially those targeting youth. We call for the protection of the rights and personhood of q***r and trans people within both the church and public policy.
Ways to engage: Join the LGBTQIA+ monthly working group (fourth Wednesday of every month at 5 p.m. ET), connect with your conference chapter of the Reconciling Ministries Network (RMN) for resources, and participate in advocacy efforts in your local community and state.
Contact [email protected] to join Church & Society's LGBTQIA+ monthly working group.

Big news from RMN — and we are so excited to share it with you.
We are thrilled to announce that the Rev. Andromeda (Andi) Woodworth (she/they) has been named the next Executive Director of Reconciling Ministries Network.
Andi comes to this role as a United Methodist elder, a gifted preacher and writer, and the founding pastor of Neighborhood Church in Atlanta — a congregation celebrated across the region for its radically inclusive, liberation-focused ministry. She has spent nearly two decades building communities of belonging, advocating for LGBTQ+ rights in Georgia and beyond, and leading with both courage and deep pastoral care.
For Andi, RMN isn't just an organization — it's been part of her own journey. And now she gets to help lead it into its next chapter. We can't wait.
Andi will begin her role as Executive Director effective June 1, 2026. For now, join us in welcoming Andi.

Two years ago today, the United Methodist Church made history by removing language from the Book of Discipline that had mandated the exclusion of LGBTQ+ people from ordination and ministry for decades.
It was over 50 years in the making. We celebrate it fully and without apology.
And we're also realistic about where we are: GC2024 removed mandated discrimination. It didn't end discrimination. Q***r candidates are being ordained in some conferences and are still unsafe to come out in others. Same-gender weddings are being celebrated in some sanctuaries and declined in others. Whether someone experiences a truly welcoming church still depends almost entirely on their zip code.
The policy changed. The work hasn't stopped.
RMN exists for this moment — resourcing, equipping, and leading the movement until every child of God, in every community, finds a church that means it when they say "you belong here."
If this work matters to you, will you help sustain it?

The good news? This course is still happening and it's going to be a rich time of learning and growing together. We don't want you to miss it.
