Grinstead Insulation

A look at what’s coming up for our Custom Division at Grinstead Insulation.

We have some incredible custom homes getting ready to move into the insulation phase in the next couple weeks, and we’re excited to be a part of them.

One of the most important parts of a custom project happens before our crews ever show up.

We make it a priority to pre-walk these homes with the builder, identify unique details and potential problem areas, and game plan the insulation package together. Complex rooflines, bonus rooms, conditioned spaces, sound control, mechanical areas, sports courts, and specialty assemblies all need to be thought through ahead of time.

That planning allows us to recommend the right combination of spray foam, BIBS, fiberglass, air sealing, sound control, and other specialty applications. Not just apply the same system to every house.

Our goal is to work alongside the builder as a trade partner, understand what they’re trying to accomplish, and make sure everyone has a plan before insulation begins.

We’re fortunate to work with some great custom builders throughout Central Indiana, and we appreciate the trust they put in our team.

Here are a few of the projects we have coming up…

Another custom home getting closer to the finish line in downtown Carmel!

Here is what was installed:

• Closed-Cell spray foam on all the band boards for a tight air seal.
• R-23 BIBS® in the 2x6 exterior walls to maximize energy efficiency and fill every cavity completely.
• Fiberglass batts throughout the home, including sound insulation between floors to help make the home quieter from room to room.

A lot of people only notice the countertops and paint colors when a home is finished. The insulation is hidden behind the drywall, but it’s what helps keep the home comfortable, efficient, and quiet for years to come.

Big thanks to our crews for another job done right. We appreciate every opportunity to be part of projects like this.

Happy Birthday to our owner, Ryan Grinstead!
