Why did no one tell me about the adrenaline and all these crazy good feelings I would have when I finally started enforcing boundaries and standing up for myself ? It’s about time I be that strong woman everyone else always says they see.

It’s rare that I am able to enjoy a slow quiet morning. It’s always so crazy around here that when it is quiet and calm I feel like something is wrong when it’s so calm and quiet. I’m releasing that negative energy this morning and just enjoy the calm. The rest of the weekend is sure to be busy with movie and dinner out tomorrow the Easter egg hunt on Sunday. What is everyone else’s plans this beautiful weekend ?

Who is that crazy lady standing in the middle of the road in the rain in flip flops? Oh wait. That’s me! Sometimes being an Autism mom means running into a busy intersection during morning rush hour to retrieve your phone that your autistic kiddo tossed out the window. (She totally planned it. It was a calculated move I swear !). And consequently and also coincidentally your sister’s coworker just might take a picture of the crazy lady just to find out later she knows said crazy lady. All of this before 9am. There isn’t a coffee strong enough. In the end all is well. The only thing broken is my pride and my screen protector!
