Gracelynn Pitts Racing

We are here at THQMA for our 2nd USAC national event of the year. Gracelynn starts on the pole of her Sr. Animal class and will start on the tail of the Lt. 160 heat race.

We are ready to go for our Second USAC National Dirt Race of the year.

THQMA

It was a very long day at the THQMA Regional Event. Racing didn't start until 5:15 this evening due to the track work that needed to be done after all the rain we got Friday. The track crew gave us an awesome track to run on after all the work they put in. Gracelynn started 2nd and finished 2nd in Sr. Animal. That was enough to get us strait into the A main tomorrow. In her very first race in Lt. 160 I couldn't have been any happier with the way she drove. She was running a very hard race but ended up losing a chain and we couldn't get it back on in time for her to go back out. So tomorrow morning she will start with the C main in Lt. 160. We are looking forward to a Sunday of racing and thankful the drive home afterwards won't be a long one.

We are here at the THQMA Regional Event today. With all the rain we got yesterday the track crew has been hard at work since early this morning trying to get the track ready to go. There are 203 cars signed up to race.. Gracelynn will be racing Sr. Animal and for the first time she will be racing the Lt. 160 class. Gracelynn starts 1st in Lt. 160 heat 1 and 2nd in Sr. Animal heat 2.

Wow! What a week it has been. Our racing in the Battle at the Brickyard has come to an end. But the memories we had there will certainly last forever. To be apart of the first ever Quarter Midget dirt race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway was special. 500 cars were there to make that history. Gracelynn raced her heart out and drove harder than she had all season so far. Although we didn't make any transfers in the lower mains that doesn't reflect on how hard she drove. In both Sr. Honda and Sr. Animal she had transfer spots before being spun. But that's racing and it happens when you're racing hard and fighting for position. We can only hope to get the opportunity to race at IMS again one day.

We are here at the Battle of the Brickyard this morning waiting on Lower Mains to start. Gracelynn raced hard yesterday but we didn't have the finishes we would have liked. She starts 5th in the K main in the Senior Honda and will start 1st in the J main of Senior Animal. Top 4 transfer in each Lower Main. No matter what today brings, we have had a blast this week and are excited to have had the opportunity to race here at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Race day here at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Gracelynn starts P5 in Senior Honda heat #5 and starts P7 in Senior Animal heat 6. We are ready to race!
