my october sewing summary 🍁🎃

the seasons are starting to change! with that, i feel a bit slower in the fall and winter time, but i’m still proud of everything i made in october 🙂

i made lots of plant themed sewed goods for the fall plant show; it took a while but i finally rounded up a good collection of plant fabrics! 🌿

kindle sleeves and sunglasses pouches have been a huge part of my sewing lately- they’re a bit repetitive to make, but the fun fabrics make up for it.

follow for more sewing inspo 🙂 i try to post as often as i can ❤ thanks for being here

these patchwork bags make any outfit aesthetically pleasing 😌 just the right amount fall to be festive without being exclusive to the season.

there’s only one crescent bag left! grab it before it’s gone because you won’t be able to find this one of a kind patchwork bag anywhere else ✨🩷 there’s still time to grab a wallet and wristlet too!

My fall collection- available now 🍂 Featuring quilted, patchwork designs and beautiful metallic hardware, you won’t find another just like it. These bags and wristlets are one of a kind, mindfully made just for you right here in Huntsville, AL.

The names of each sub collection are inspired by greek mythology on the changing of seasons. Carpo, Hestia, and Demeter were thoughtfully chosen to personify the color way of each collection.

Carpo is to represent the fall season, Hestia- the hearth and home, and Demeter- the mother of Persephone- represents the coming of colder days.

Each year, Persephone’s descent marks the beginning of autumn. The flowers wilt, the leaves begin to fall, and the air grows cold.

“Persephone’s Garden” is intended to capture the feeling of a late summer giving way to autumn. Blooms shift to a muted mauve before falling to the ground; green leaves fade to yellow, red, then brown; and the first freeze of the season coats the grass in pale blue frost.

Shop the collection on my website, www.threadsbyathena.com, or click the link in my bio for more info. 15% off sale ends 8/6/25 at 11:59pm (cdt)!

And as always, I’m so, so thankful for your support 🙂 🧡
