From duty boots to cowboy boots!
This afternoon brought us some unexpected members of the community to look after! Around 5 PM, three goats were found wandering in the middle of FM 1960 near Huffman Eastgate. Our firefighters and paramedics didnât hesitate to step in and get them safely off the roadway.
Once they were secured⌠the next question was: âNow what?â đ
With the help of our partners at Huffman ISD and the Huffman ISD Police Departmentâespecially Chief Williams and his team, we were able to transport these escape artists to a safe âholding cellâ at the Huffman Ag Barn until their owner can be located.
If you recognize these three, please contact the Harris County Sheriffâs Office Livestock Division or send us a message and weâll help get you connected.
Proud to serve our community, whether on two legs or four, and thankful for the strong partnership we share with Huffman ISD staff and Police!

Huffman Fire Department proudly hosted one of the area's pioneering donor flag-raising ceremonies, highlighting the impact of organ, eye, and tissue donation. This significant milestone showcases our department's commitment to recognizing the profound importance of donation. We were honored to have regional partners, including Crosby EMS Chief Gerardo Gonzales, Medical Director Dr. Steven Ellerbe, members of the ESD #4 Board, and LifeGift, join us in this meaningful event. Our firefighters, EMS personnel, and community members came together to honor the donors and their families. By hosting this ceremony, we aim to not only pay tribute to the donors but also to inspire other fire and EMS agencies to follow suit. We are proud to play a part in this impactful initiative and look forward to continuing our support.

Flags are going up across Texas today. đđ
When hospitals, businesses, and families raise the Donate Life flag, they're telling every person who sees it: donors are honored here. Lives matter here. Hope lives here.
Is your flag flying today? Show us where. đ

Often, medics respond to people during the most difficult moments of their lives. Today, however, brought a welcome and heartfelt reunion.
A young woman stopped by to reconnect with the medics who cared for her during a critical time of need. Medics Potter and Fischer were grateful for the chance to see her again, this time under far more peaceful circumstances.
Moments like these serve as a powerful reminder of the difference first responders make every day.
