We want to say a HUGE congratulations to our President and CEO, Kristin Amato, RN BSN. For those that do not know, Kristin has spent the last few years working on advancing her education to obtain her Master's Degree in Nursing and become an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse ( APRN). Kristin received word late last week that she was pulled from the wait list and will be starting her Clinical Internship in 2 weeks.
It's with a heavy heart that we also announce she has put in her resignation to focus on her studies. Her last day will be December 5, 2025. Kristin has worked diligently over the last 21 months to keep CARES at the forefront of Pasco County's non-profits. We wish Kristin all the best in her future endeavors, and we can't wait to see what her future holds!

The 17th ANNUAL HEALTH & WELLNESS EXPO will be on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at the Hudson First United Methodist Church. We invite you to partner with us in this meaningful event to connect and inform seniors in Pasco County of your important health services.
Proceeds will benefit the Free Senior Health Clinic, now serving over 1200 patients who are 55 years and older, low income, and uninsured. Most of our clients are working-class, low-income adults who have nowhere to turn for medical help.
Your participation will help provide limited primary health services to people in need in our community and you will benefit from exposure to this well-attended and well-established event.

I want to take a moment and wish Gisela Dalnoky a Happy Nurse's Week. Gisela oversees the Clinic and the Daycare. She is literally my right-hand woman! 24 years ago Gisela and I graduated from PHCC together. Who would have thought that CARES would bring up back together. Her dedication to our patients and clients is nothing short of amazing........ So if everyone please help me wish her a Happy Nurses Week!

Since 1973, CARES has helped over 87,000 seniors, disabled adults, and caregivers by providing in-home services, wellness, educational, social, and recreational programs.
We have grown into an organization of over 150 staff members, and more than 500 volunteers. Our mission is to promote quality of life and independence for adults through health, social, and supportive services.
