We’re still smiling thinking about all the familiar faces, wagging tails, and wonderful families who came back to celebrate with us. Seeing our alumni dogs thriving in their forever homes is one of the greatest reminders of why we do what we do ❤️

You may know them as our Bread Boys, but what you may not know is that these sweet souls have spent far too long waiting for a family to give them a chance.

Challah and Brioche came to us from a severe hoarding situation in New York. Before rescue, they knew neglect, fear, and uncertainty. The world wasn’t kind to them, and because of that, everything we take for granted is still new and a little scary — leashes, gentle pets, strangers, and even the simple idea of trusting people.

Despite everything they’ve been through, they are trying.

Every day, they take small steps forward. Every day, they learn that not all humans will let them down.

These boys can be adopted together or separately, but whichever home they go to, they’ll need a family willing to see past their fear and believe in the dogs they can become.

🏡 What they need:
• A calm, patient, understanding home
• A secure, fully fenced yard
• Consistency, kindness, and gentle guidance
• Another confident, friendly dog is a huge bonus

They’re not looking for perfection. They’re looking for someone who understands that healing takes time.

The right family won’t see dogs that are nervous. They’ll see survivors. They’ll see two hearts learning how to trust again. They’ll celebrate the first tail wag, the first cuddle, the first time they realize they’re finally safe.

We know their people are out there somewhere.

Play groups are more than just fun at YGRR — they’re an important part of our dog-friendly pups’ mental health and wellbeing 🐾💛

For dogs who enjoy the company of other dogs, play groups provide so much more than zoomies and wrestling matches. They give our pups social interaction, enrichment, confidence building, stress relief, and a chance to simply be dogs while they wait for their forever homes 🐶✨

Rescue life can be stressful, and these moments of play, connection, and normalcy make a huge difference for many of our dog-social residents ❤️

Play groups are only for dogs who are comfortable and appropriate around other dogs — not every pup enjoys playgroup time, and that’s okay too! We always prioritize what each individual dog needs. 🐾

🐶🐶 DOUBLE THE DOODLES, DOUBLE THE LOVE ❤️

Meet Bentley & Blondie — a bonded pair of Goldendoodles looking for their forever home together 🏡✨ These two have spent their whole lives side-by-side and are hoping to find a family ready to welcome both of them.

Bentley (4) is the social butterfly of the duo 🐾 He LOVES people, belly rubs, cuddles, and being wherever his humans are.

Blondie (3) is a little more reserved at first, but once she trusts you, she’s the sweetest girl 💕 She loves fetch, agility, and gaining confidence through play.

These two are currently working on their leash skills and would love a patient family willing to continue helping them grow. They’d do best with older, dog-savvy kids and a home where someone is around more often than not ❤️
