So on top of being invited to the Shopify Partner Directory (which is now live, and the date is wrong because we created a new organization 3 years ago 🤨😂), we are now a Shopify Select Partner! Kinda cool 😎

Apparently the germs have decided to make the rounds over here. 🤧 Been sick all week but hopefully not much longer.

I’m still working through projects and messages, but I may be moving a little slower than usual for the next few days while we recover.

A weird part of running 424 Solutions is that half of Vero's best features were never on some giant roadmap.

They usually started more like:

“Can we make it do this?”

“Probably.”

*opens VS Code*

And suddenly I'm three hours deep building an entirely new system that definitely wasn't on my schedule for the night. 😂

That's how Vero has grown.

Real client problem → build a solution → realize 20 other businesses need it too → add it to Vero.

Rinse. Repeat.

At this point I'm slightly afraid to ask clients what else they need.

Slightly.

💜 424 Solutions

Kinda wild realization today.

I was going through Vero installs and realized that between full 424 builds and standalone theme purchases, Vero has now been installed on more than 100 Shopify stores.

When I first started building it, it was really just supposed to make my own client builds better. Then other makers wanted it. Then came Hat Lab, bulk ordering, team stores, live preview, apps built around it... and eventually an entirely new Vero 2.

100+ stores later, apparently we built an actual product. 😂

Pretty damn cool seeing something built specifically for makers being used by this many businesses.

And we're nowhere near done with it. 💜

Vero 2 is coming.

At 424, our lane is ecommerce as well as anything else web related.

I actually came into this industry (the hat industry, not the web industry) making hats and other engraved things myself. I still make one occasionally, but I figured out where I bring the most value.

It isn’t competing with the businesses I build for.

It’s building the systems that help them sell more.

So I obsess over Shopify, conversion, UX, mobile experience, customization, ordering workflows, integrations, performance, and all the boring technical crap that shouldn’t have to be your problem.

You focus on making great products.

I’ll focus on making them easier to sell.

Know your lane. Own your lane. Get really damn good at it.
