Austin Breuer - Howell, MI resident and candidate for Michigan's 50 State House District
A 'realistic optimist' raised with common sense and decency.

Vote for a representative who will put your interests first. Austin is a realistic optimist. He believes that things can be better, and realizes that government is designed to work slowly. At the end of the campaign, Austin hopes to be a representative for all the people of Michigan's 50th House district, and impact legislation that will put more money in your pocket at the end of the day.

I just want to say that this race has been so incredible to run, and that's entirely thanks to everyone who got involved, or had a conversation with me, or even just voted and made their voice heard. It means the world to me that we made movements and worked to make a change. Never give up hope, and always care for one another! Let's keep moving forward.

Tomorrow is the big day, so if you haven't early voted or mailed in your absentee ballot, make sure you get a chance to stop by your polling location before 8pm!
Thank you, everyone, for this incredible race!

Gen Zers in Livingston County are calling for better public transport. Is it possible? 10/25/2024

We have a need for public transportation improvements in Livingston County, and all across Michigan. In the short term, that looks like fairly simple improvements to the LETS system and more sidewalks, crosswalks, and bike and walking paths. Long term, I would like to see passenger rail make a strong comeback and rival European and Asian countries. We need to make sure we're going about achieving these things, and all of our goals, in ways that make sense and won't unduly burden taxpayers. Lord knows no one likes paying taxes, but we should at least be benefiting directly from the taxes we pay.

New state program offering relief to struggling first-time homebuyers 10/23/2024

Programs like this are small ways that the state legislature can make a big difference for first time homebuyers. As a young person, myself, I know how difficult it is for people my age and younger to get into their first home. Housing that starts at an average of $350,000 just isn't affordable for most people, and these high interest rates are just awful. In the State House of Representatives, I'll work with anyone it takes to make life easier for all Michiganders. We need people who can work together with others to come up with smart ideas, not just throw money at a problem and hope that's enough.

New state program offering relief to struggling first-time homebuyers It’s set to drive mortgage interest down by a full percentage point, hoping to give families some much-needed relief. For more Local News from WILX: https...

One of the best parts of Livingston County, and even more specifically Conway Township, is how well you can see the stars in the night sky! We have such a beautiful space here, and that's something I want to protect. Our rural character in Livingston County is so important to us all, and we deserve representatives who will prioritize the people and their interests, rather than simply just playing partisan politics and pushing agendas.

Vote for Austin Breuer for State Representative on or before November 5th! πŸ˜πŸ—³

There is milk for sale that has the election date as it's expiration date 🀯
That's how you know that it's ALMOST HERE!

You can still register to vote online at Vote.org for a few more days, and you can register in person even on election day, but it's always better to not have to worry about the hassle! Make a plan to vote and make sure your voice is heard! Oh and don't forget to check out the whole ballot! There are a lot of races that don't get much attention, but they matter a lot! There's also the non-partisan section!

My article in the Fowlerville News and Views was published and printed recently! I'm proud to say that I will actually listen to the people who live here, and work hard every day to make sure that YOUR interests are being represented, and not politicized. Just some genuine common sense and a go-getter attitude. πŸ˜‰πŸ‘

One of the most frustrating things about politics today is that there is so much information out there, that misinformation is spread more easily than the truth. So many lies about FEMA and weather, and everything going on. We need to teach civics in schools again, and make sure people understand how our government is supposed to function. Too many conspiracy theories are being widely accepted, and it makes it more difficult for the people who are actually trying to help.
