Fall hydrangeas can be so pretty

Patty's garden still has some wonderful interest for this time of year. We all need to plant a smooth blue aster, that is for sure. It's fantastic!

It's pumpkin time for our HGC friends! Such fun to make and gift. Just a small token to let you know we do care. 🤩

The nights are getting quite cool but there is still a little color at our Summit Gardens Floral Circle Beds. Our 2026 growing season is coming to an end. When will our first frost hit? I am always thrilled with the rush of spring but ready for a rest by October. 🙂

Karen W had HGC's community gifting floral arrangement for the month of September. She chose Howell Recreation to give a fresh bouquet of flowers from her garden. Happily received as you can see. 😃
Karen also wanted to share her 'mum man' with us and one of her favorites - popcorn plant. It smells exactly like buttered popcorn when you slightly bruise the leaves! Too fun!

HGC's September meeting was well attended. Last minute adjustments for a speaker had to be made with the Senior gardener Marlas winning the draw. 😃 With 60 years gardening experience she was able to answer most questions. After enjoying the delectable treats presented by our co-hostesses Lillian and Rosalie we played a fun game getting to know each other better. On a scrap of paper a little know fact about herself was written by each member and drawn from a basket. Guess who? It was actually quite difficult to match the facts with the correct member. Another fun and enlightening evening with HGC friends!
