Can Dog P*e Ruin An AC Unit? Sadly, yes, your dog can ruin your AC unit by p*eing on the unit itself. Dog urine contains acid, and that acid will corrode the aluminum fins and copper coils. If your dog repeatedly p*es on the unit, the p*e will eat away at the metal. Let your pup know the a/c unit is yours and not his to avoid premature replacement.
