Sojourn Spring Branch is a congregation reconciling our neighbors to God and one another. On Sundays, we all gather together. Join us.

During the week, we meet in small communities throughout Spring Branch called Neighborhood Parishes.

From meeting for prayer in parks and living rooms to dedicated spaces for worship, we were able to join the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in the historic work of redemption these last 10 years. As of May 2025, Sojourn Spring Branch has officially closed her ministry as a local church.

With great clarity and lots of compassion, we grieve the closing of our local church and at the same time are grateful for 10 years of ministry. Grief, because this was a good thing for many, yet grateful for the shared life we had as Sojourn Spring Branch. Our members were committed to this work and served one another well through prayer and service, so we give God thanks for this season of church life we were gifted with.

To those who at one point were members of Sojourn Spring Branch, to the individuals and ministries who supported us financially through the years, to the churches who partnered with us, thank you.

We rejoice in the life together we shared and look to the future with much hope. God is on the move in Houston through revitalizing and new churches, and we are thankful to have played a part in that. So, for your joy, for the good of others, and for the glory of God, we entrust this closing chapter to the Lord believing “that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”

Cultivating an annual rhythm of sacrificial giving during our culture’s most excessive season is a spiritual practice we’ve done since we began. It teaches us to give ourselves away for the work of His kingdom.

Happy Thanksgiving from our church family! We give God thanks for gospel seeds planted, cultivated, and for gospel fellowship harvested in our church. We delighted at our thanksgiving tables Sunday evening because of Christ’s abundance of grace. We are thankful for the gifts He gives. Happy Thanksgiving!

We were never meant to live our spiritual journey in isolation. Christ designed His Body in such a way that we depend upon each other for growth, progress, and effectiveness.

This past Sunday our Covenant Members gathered to hear church updates, welcome new members, and pray for one another. Church, God is at work!

“Out of the darkness of grief and despair comes a message of hope: Christ is risen! He is risen, indeed!

We run to the tomb to see for ourselves. And it is true. Christ is risen! He is risen, indeed!

We hear a voice call our name, and we know our risen Lord is with us now and always. Christ is risen! He is risen, indeed! Hallelujah! Glory to his name!”

Happy Resurrection Sunday! What a celebration we had this morning. Church and friends, may you find joy and gladness in the resurrection of Jesus today. 🙌

We rest. | “On the Sabbath they rested according to the commandment.” Luke 23:56

When it seemed like all hope had been lost, the disciples of Jesus rested. And as followers of Jesus, we were able to come together on this day between crucifixion and resurrection to rest.

“Sunday is coming.”
