Women are soo strong šŸ’Ŗ and every mom deserves 100000 push presents because childbirth is such A FEAT!

I definitely feel that staying active helped me get through this—especially the 4 hours of labor šŸ˜µā€šŸ’« If nothing else it’s certainly helping with postpartum recovery to have a baseline of strength.

I’ll do a full Q&A on my stories but for now pop any Qs below about the journey—from endometriosis, to pregnancy, to birth and now postpartum šŸ’—šŸ‘‡

Saima didn’t struggle because she lacked knowledge or motivation. She struggled because she was trying to make a generic approach fit a very real, very full life.

For years, she was balancing a high-stress schedule, traveling between New York and India, and eating mostly homemade vegetarian meals that aren’t easy to plug into an app and track perfectly. She knew what foods were ā€œhealthy,ā€ but without clarity on portions, protein, and consistency, she found herself stuck in that frustrating cycle of under eating, overeating, and starting over.

What changed wasn’t her effort, it was finally having structure. Once she had a plan tailored to her lifestyle, support to navigate travel and cultural foods, and guidance on how to eat in a way that actually supported her goals, everything started to feel simpler and more sustainable.

This is exactly what we focus on inside BBR. Not perfection, not extremes, but helping you build a routine that works in your real life, whether that includes home-cooked meals, travel, or a busy schedule.

If you’ve been trying to figure this out on your own and it’s not clicking, you don’t need more willpower, you need a better strategy.

If you’re ready for that, click the link in our bio and we can walk through what that could look like for you. šŸ’—

5 years ago, we created this because we were tired of seeing Desi women feel like they had to choose…

your cultureĀ orĀ your goals.

Because every plan out there felt the same:
Eat less. Cut carbs. Avoid your favorite foods.

And let’s be real that was never going to last, so we built something different.

A way to eat the foods youĀ actuallyĀ grew up on while still feeling confident, in control, and aligned with your goals.

Since then, thousands of you have used this guide to:
– stop feeling out of control around food
– finally understand how to build balanced meals
– eat more protein without overcomplicating everything
– and see results that actually stick

And that’s exactly why we’re celebrating šŸŽ‰

The Fit Desi Food Guide is on sale for our 5-year anniversary (April 9–12 only).

If you’ve been wanting a starting point thatĀ actually makes sense for your life…
this is it.

Don’t wait this one out.

Grab it at the link in our bio before the sale ends. šŸ’•

My smart scale thinks I’m my husband now… that’s all I need to know šŸ™ƒ

In all honesty — I get asked a lot about how much weight I’ve gained in pregnancy… I have a good relationship with the scale and am happy to answer (but SKIP if you find scale numbers triggering ā€¼ļø)

I’ve gained a healthy amount so far based on my pre pregnancy weight (35-40lbs, depending on fluctuations). But what’s interesting is how it was distributed over the 9 months. I gained about 10lbs in the first trimester alone — They say you’re not ā€œsupposedā€ to gain much weight or eat more during 1st tri, but I was soooo hungry. Everyone’s body is so different!

I spent yearsssss struggling with my body image & relationship with the scale — Eventually I improved it through a lot of education & mindset work (the same work we teach in to change your body & shift your mindset).

Now, I am genuinely able to practice ā€œbody neutralityā€ and be totally okay when the scale goes up or when I see my body change during pregnancy. It is what it is!

Pregnancy can be so hard with body image so if you’re struggling — try to find clothes that fit you right now, and focus more on what your body can do and what it’s capable of, not just how it looks like. This season and this weight is temporary and for a purpose šŸ’— And you can come back stronger postpartum!
