I had an awesome time building this sandcastle with Ashlee, Justin, Xavier, and Leah at the YSA Conference. It is definitely the best sandcastle I’ve ever helped make, and I learned a lot about how to best construct them. I still have a ton to learn, so I’m thinking about going to a class. It was so much fun to make. 🌞

I made this cake for an FHE baking night a while back. It's a Chocolate Chip Cookie Chocolate Cherry Cake. Which means I mixed chocolate chip cookie dough bits and cherries into the chocolate cake batter. The cream cheese frosting is flavored with maraschino cherry juice, which is what gives it it's light pink color and cherry flavor. It's 2 layers, with a center filling of frosting mixed with lots of cherries. I decorated it with dipping chocolate that I melted and cut into strips, cherries, and and a chocolate chip cookie. ⁠

I got the idea for this cake by combining quite a few of my favorite things together. All it's missing to be my absolute favorite would be ice cream. 😋 Though it was pretty tasty, even without ice cream, if I do say so myself. ⁠

It took me forever to get the pink frosting as smooth on the cake as possible. Does anyone else have this problem when decorating, or is it just me?⁠

A beautiful bouquet I gathered from Emily & Roger’s reception last Saturday. It is such a cool idea to have bunches of flowers for the guests to make bouquets for themselves to take home. It was a beautiful and classy reception, and I am so happy to see Emily and Roger open a door to the next section of their lives!

The resemblance is uncanny. I was going through pictures from my cruise, and found this gem. Never thought I'd have Hades hair.⠀

Every soul yearns create. Give into that little voice telling you to make something. Everyone has the ability, even if it's as simple as creating happiness. Which is arguably the most important.

Flashback to this past weekend after an awesome 50's Sock Hop. And yes, I did photoshop myself onto this background. Could you tell? ☺️⁣

My heart hurts because of this tragedy. Though, I am so thankful that there was no structural damage done, and that Notre Dame will be rebuilt and able to stand tall and whole once again. Such a beautiful piece of art and history has been horribly damaged, but it has not been lost. I will be overjoyed when I can see Notre Dame restored. Today is Haiku Poetry Day, thus the poem of what’s been on my mind.
