We are HIRING~
Parra Design Group is looking for a part-time Accounting Assistant, with an opportunity to become full time, to work in our modern office near downtown.
The Accounting Assistant will handle our company’s day to day financial tasks. You will be responsible for accounts payable and receivable along with payroll management. You will assist with data entry, recording transactions, and updating the ledger. To do well in this role, you should understand basic accounting principles and have experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero or Peachtree.
Job Responsibilities
Perform basic office tasks such as filing, data entry, answering phones, and processing the mail.
Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
Process accounts receivable and payable, issue checks and update ledgers.
Process payroll and payroll taxes.
Prepare financial reports and assist with fact checks and the resolution of discrepancies.
Job Requirements
Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
Proficiency with computers and accounting software, such as QuickBooks, Xero or Peachtree
Work experience in accounting or bookkeeping
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail and accuracy of work
Job is part-time, 20 hours per week; 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. M-F (hours are flexible).

Congratulations to our architect Camilo Parra for winning the Preservation Houston 2020 Good Brick Award for Residential Renovation 🥳 PDG renovated a historic house in the 5th Ward originally designed and built by John Chase in 1953- Chase was the first African American architect registered in the state of Texas- PDG is honored to carry on Chase’s legacy. @ Fifth Ward, Houston
