There’s no one-size-fits-all tech stack, but here are a few tools that help make comms sharper, cleaner, and more collaborative:
🛠 Figma – For visualizing messaging frameworks, decks, and presentations
🛠 Notion – For organizing research, briefs, and collaborative writing
🛠 Otter.ai – For transcribing interviews or meetings
🛠 Grammarly Business – For consistency across multiple writers
🛠 Descript – For editing audio/video-based internal updates or podcasts

Companies spend weeks planning the announcement– the launch, the rollout, the all-hands.
But very few plan for what happens next:
- How does the message evolve after Day 1?
- Who reinforces it in Week 3?
- What comms rhythm supports the change?
In 2025, we’re seeing a shift from “announce and move on” to “announce and embed.”
Because if the message doesn’t stick, the moment didn’t matter.

Not every message needs a visual. But, if it helps someone understand faster, it’s worth adding.
Before you hit send on that dense update or scroll past a wall of text, ask yourself:
1. Is there a number or comparison that would land better as a chart?
2. Is there a list that would be easier to skim with bullets or icons?
3. Will this be read quickly, on a phone or in a scroll?
If you answered yes to any of the above, you don’t need decoration, you need design that serves comprehension.
Visuals aren’t extras. They’re tools for clarity.

Execs used to be invisible. Now they’re personal brands.
Whether they like it or not, leadership is being shaped- in real time- by public posts, DMs, and how they show up on platforms like LinkedIn. Like with Shavonnah’s profile above, an active account is now the standard.
The smartest companies aren’t fighting it. They’re helping their execs communicate on purpose:
– With values-aligned POVs
– With clarity and consistency
– With content support that doesn’t sound canned
If your leadership comms still live in press releases, you’re missing the platforms where decisions are being perceived.

“She’s just a great communicator.” “He’s a natural in front of a room.”
We hear it all the time, and it’s misleading.
Strong communication isn’t a personality type. It’s a skillset. And like any skill, it can (and should) be practiced, coached, and developed. Even if you think you have great communication skills, there are always areas to improve and refine.
The best leaders aren’t always the most charismatic. They’re the ones who prioritize clarity, ask good questions, and adapt their message to different audiences.
If your team is struggling to align or connect, don’t assume it’s a people problem. It might be a communication investment problem.
