The Cliffs Notes: The time-tested formula is 5 calves a bull sires - and if you retain daughters from said bull, he’s worth more than that, as his genetics will impact your herd for decades.

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝗗𝗿. 𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗹’𝘀 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀:
Weaned calves $2400-2500 = bull cost $12,000-$12,500
Yearlings $2800-2900 = bull cost $14,000-$14,500
Fat cattle $3400-$3500 = bull cost $17,000-$17,500

It’s that time again!! I am releasing the bulls today and what a day it’s been!! Trying to get pictures and all they want to do is check out Sophie.
