As the daughter of a prominent bridal consultant in the Houston, Texas area, I have had the opportunity to see the RSVP world at it's best and at it's worst.
I have seen the Host/Hostess (i.e. Bride, the Groom, and their families) in dismay about the lack of responses to their requests of attendance to their special event. The rudeness or lack of understanding about the proper way to respond to an invitation request has prompted me and several other people in the wedding industry, to offer other alternatives to the standard form of sending and receivin
g RSVPs. Since we now have the Internet at our disposal, we decided that the best way to receive RSVPs is by way of E-mail or Website, since it's available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. But, do not think we forgot about those individuals who are uncomfortable, unfamiliar, or do not have access to a computer or the Internet. For those who would prefer to speak with a live RSVP Associate, we thought it best to have a local number where people could call and phone in their RSVPs. Our idea was convenience and the ease with which an RSVP services brings to those who have a serious need for it. We know you’re tired of having to call people and confirm whether they are coming or not. Or having to speak with them about whether the event is "black tie," in the afternoon, or where it's located. With the option of having a professional styled event website custom made for you, you can now place all of that information on their and direct your guests to that website, as opposed to calling you for further details. We understand you're busy, you're planning your event, and that you would prefer to leave it all in some one else's capable hands... and that's we're here for, the RSVP side of things...
