My leadership is grounded in business experience and community service, shaped by my immigrant parents from Greece who sought a better life.
Their resilience taught me hard work, perseverance, and the importance of giving back. Hello, Harris County! I am George Zoes, and I’m running for Harris County Judge to bring leadership grounded in business experience, community service, and a deep-rooted commitment to our county’s future. My journey is shaped by the dreams of my immigrant parents, who came to America from Greece seeking opportunity and a better life. Their resilience and determination instilled in me the values of hard work, perseverance, and the importance of giving back to the community. A Legacy in Houston:
As a proud native Houstonian, I have watched our great city grow and evolve. From the heart of Spring Branch to the thriving urban center of Houston, I have witnessed firsthand the transformations that have shaped our city into the vibrant community we cherish. This city isn’t just where I live; it’s where my family’s history and my personal story have unfolded. Business Leadership & Vision:
Growing up in the restaurant business, I learned the value of hard work, dedication, and creating spaces where people can gather and thrive. At 24, I founded my first company, which spanned wholesale design, manufacturing, and retail operations, reaching people across the country. Later, my work in import and export broadened my understanding of global business, connecting me with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds. Empathy & Community:
One of the defining moments in my journey was transforming a wig salon into a supportive environment for cancer patients. This experience underscored the importance of compassion and care in fostering hope and healing. It deepened my commitment to providing support to those in need and to creating spaces where individuals feel empowered. Honoring Houston’s Spirit:
Houston’s traditions run deep, and I have had the privilege of contributing to them. As a lifelong member of the Houston Rodeo, I’ve volunteered on committees, run a western store, and raised funds for scholarships. I believe in the power of community to nurture future leaders, and I’m committed to supporting the programs that help make this possible. A Heart for Spring Branch:
Spring Branch is more than just my hometown – it’s where my heart lies. I live here, work here, and am deeply invested in the well-being of this community. As Harris County Judge, I will ensure that every corner of our county benefits from thoughtful, inclusive leadership that fosters positive change. Faith & Mentorship:
As a devoted member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, I’ve spent over 30 years volunteering at the church’s festival, believing in the power of unity and celebration. In addition, my commitment to mentoring the next generation of business leaders through mentorship and volunteering reflects my dedication to building a brighter future for all of Harris County. A Proven Business Leader for Harris County Judge:
Harris County needs a leader with real business experience who understands how to navigate complex challenges. I will bring my business acumen, work ethic, and leadership skills to the role of Harris County Judge to streamline government operations, promote fiscal responsibility, and invest in programs that benefit everyone. Philotimo – A Guiding Principle:
At the heart of Greek culture lies the concept of Philotimo, which embodies values like respect, kindness, and doing what’s right, even when no one is watching. Philotimo teaches us to put the community’s well-being before our own and to work together for the common good. I believe this principle should guide our leadership in Harris County, creating a place where everyone can thrive and prosper. Your Vote, Your Voice:
I’m asking for your vote to be the next Harris County Judge. Together, we can build a county that is united, empowered, and forward-thinking. Whether you cast your ballot early, by mail, or at the polls on Election Day, remember: your vote matters. Let’s create a future for Harris County that honors our past, embraces our diversity, and champions progress. Vote Zoes for Harris County Judge. Thank you for your support,
George Zoes

🚨BREAKING: The State of Texas just pulled $110 million in funding from the City of Houston over their new rule that limits when Houston Police officers can contact ICE.
Mayor John Whitmire shared the message today, calling this "a crisis situation."
The money is all for public safety. Mayor Whitmire says this will impact "public safety services across our city."
This is really bad news with the World Cup and thousands of tourists headed for Houston in just a few months.
Last week, Houston City Council voted 12-5 to enact an ordinance that limits how and when they can contact immigration agents. The ordinance makes clear that an ICE administrative warrant alone, a civil document that does not allege a criminal offense, would not justify a stop, arrest, or continued detention by HPD. If no crime is suspected, the individual must be released.
