🤯Yes you read that correctly… the MET!
I’m ecstatic to be making some AMAZING house debuts this season!

🗡️First… I return to to sing, what I think is Puccini’s most perfect opera, TOSCA! Now I know what you’re thinking… “Demetrious, be careful, you’re still very young!” And ykw… I appreciate that caution, however; it’s almost HALF of my own 😅! Before I accepted I did a lot of research, praying and advice seeking and the tea leaves say this is the right time to try it out! I also get to sing Beethoven 9 again which is NOICE!

🧣Then I make my first big role reprisal as Rodolfo with an AMAZING CAST! So excited for this house debut!

🎅🏽 Next, I reunite with at for jolly ole time and my company debut!

🎨After such a quick but lovely time in Wisconsin, I head to to sing in ‘s haunting yet beautiful Frida y Diego! Making another house debut, VERY EXCITING!

💥 Then Bam! The Met, where I get to be IN. THE. ROOM. at one of the most iconic houses in the world, in Wagner’s ultimate opera… Parsifal!

🤔 What should I call this new chapter?

🤩 WOWOWOW! The end of an era!!!

✨Three years at HGO? Felt like 6 months! What a journey this has been! I can’t stress enough how much of a PERFECT place HGO was for ME! My artistry, my voice, my maturity, my people and family skills, my “circle”, my love for the Art… everything got an upgrade and a tuning here! I would say I’m surprised… but I’m not!

✨Parsifal in 23, Trovatore and Boheme in 24, then BAM… Porgy and Bess, Hansel and Gretel, and Of Mice and Men in 25! I was blessed with an amazing trajectory here at HGO! Every role shaped me and molded me for the next, helping me take FULL advantage of each opportunity as it came and I think I’m in a super place to flee the nest 😢!

✨I’m so thankful to .summers.author and for believing in me since YAVA then taking that chance and BLESSING me after Concert of Arias! Thank you for continuing to believe in me and for curating an experience that will carry me on my artistic journey for a lifetime! Colin your insight and your willingness to GO THERE for us in the studio is UNPARALLELED, they knew what they were doing when they put us in your care!!

✨My studio mates, from my first year to my last, being there for it all, y’all know how I feel! Let’s go be the stars of TODAY and TOMORROW!

✨ To every supporter, fan, friend, donor, volunteer, Buddy, peer, colleague, boss, hater, lover, fighter, security guard, janitor, and “man with the paint can on the back of his truck!”… thank you!! Thank you for running with me, thank you for pushing me, supporting me, motivating me and LOVING me! You made this big ole city feel like home! I couldn’t have asked for better people than y’all!

✨Fret not… the duchess shall return… 🤫 but until then… this chapter has turned… another leaps off the book of life and into reality… now lemme go find it 😝

First Post of the New Year??? “Hear” are some high notes to start(?) the year right ! 🤭 Some Bbs and a C in La Rondine, a cheeky A -> B natural in Sento Avvampar ( on the big stage!!!) and a C in progress for RODOLFO this MAY

🌟This Winter Rep has been a hard, fast and BUSY one! From role prep, acting classes, concert performances, recital planning and drinking water; THE GURLS HAVE BEEN OCCUPIED! …but I’m glad to show you the fruits of the labour!

🌟 We in the Butler Studio start Of Mice and Men rehearsals this Monday, I don’t think anything other than our amazing performance at Concert of Arias could’ve prepared us more for being there for each other; to cheer ourselves on in both our strengths and weaknesses!

😘Toi Toi Toi!
