How to make a five egg omelette:
1. Buy a carton of 18 eggs
2. Set  carton of eggs on countertop.
3.  While bringing in the other groceries, gently push the carton of eggs off the countertop onto the kitchen floor.
4. Retrieve carton ,  still inside the grocery bag. Assess the condition of the eggs. 12 are OK, inside the bag one egg is shattered to pieces and will be disposed of. As you go through the eggs, remove the five cracked and smashed eggs and place in a bowl.
5.  Wash the surviving 12 eggs and put in the fridge.
6.  Retrieve the bowl with five eggs. Forget about the omelette. Scramble the eggs with a fork. Sit back and enjoy your scrambled eggs.
