🌐 Immigration Updates: New USCIS Memorandum Signals Potential Shift in Adjustment of Status Adjudications
A new USCIS policy memorandum signals a potential shift in how adjustment of status (AOS) applications are adjudicated, emphasizing that AOS is a discretionary, “extraordinary” benefit rather than a routine pathway to permanent residence.
This development signals a more restrictive adjudication posture, underscoring the importance of thorough documentation and strategic case preparation. Stay informed on how these changes could impact current and future AOS cases.

🌍 International Nurses Day | Honoring Nurses, Including Immigrant Healthcare Heroes 🩺
Today, we recognize International Nurses Day and honor the extraordinary nurses who strengthen our healthcare system every day.
Immigrant nurses play a vital role in addressing critical healthcare shortages across the United States—particularly in rural and underserved communities. Many contribute through employment-based visas such as H 1B, TN, E 3, or through EB 2 and EB 3 green card pathways, helping hospitals and care facilities deliver safe, consistent patient care.
As the demand for healthcare professionals continues to grow, immigration remains a key part of the solution—supporting patient care, public health resilience, and the overall stability of our healthcare workforce.
To all nurses—U.S. trained and internationally educated alike—thank you for your dedication, expertise, and compassion.
📌 If you are a healthcare professional or employer navigating visa options or permanent residence pathways, Foster LLP is here to help.
