Did you know that back when cars were being invented, one of the most prominent manufacturers was a black man? Mr. C.R. Patterson.

During my senior year at Prairie View A&M University, I first came to knowledge about Mr. Patterson. It was also then that I was able to connect with a descendant of his who wrote the book, “First Black Autos” about his legacy.

Recently, I was able to reconnect with Author Henry A. May and share my storytelling with him about this amazing legacy. He was pleasantly surprised. I’m just glad I was able to honor him through this presentation and now I share it with you.
